Carlo Dall'Anese is one of Brazil's best known DJs. He started his professional DJ career at the age of 15, and is now resident DJ at the best club in Brazil - Club Sirena, at Maresis Beach in Sao Paolo.
Club Sirena is famous for its powerful sound system and amazing vibe, and has been voted the best club in Brazil every year for the last four years. (Check out www.sirena.com.br)
Carlo's rise to DJ stardom in Brazil has been meteoric, he was voted 'Best New Talent' in Brazil in 2000, and 'Best Progressive House DJ' in 2002 and 2003. And he now finds himself playing alongside some of the world's most famous DJs, including Paul Oakenfold, Roger Sanchez, Darren Emerson, Sasha and John Digweed. Carlo's popularity in Brazil has lead to him playing his energizing tribal/progressive house sets all over South America, and he is now one of the most in-demand DJs on the continent, playing at least 20 times a month at all the best parties, clubs and festivals. At the 2005 Rio Carnival Carlo warmed-up for Tiesto, Norman Cook, Layo and Bushwacka and Sven Vath among others. Click here to see pics of Carlo's gigs at the Rio Carnival. Also in 2005 Carlo travelled to Russia to play two gigs in Moscow, one of which was at Moscow's most celebrated club, Shambala.
Carlo is an experienced radio DJ and has his own weekly mix show every Wednesday on 97.7 FM (check out www.energia97.com.br). He also has a monthly column reviewing the best new releases in Brazil's DJ Sound magazine (check out www.djsound.com.br). As well as all this, Carlo also finds time to run his own record company, B Side Records, and his two B Side Record Stores (www.bside.com.br).
Carlo Dall'Anese has also had great success producing his own music, with five singles released in Europe and the USA, including 'Test And Born' and 'Tribal Adventures', which have featured in the sets of some of the world's top DJs, and been licensed to compilations in France, Italy and the US. Add to all this the success of his compilation mix CDs, including the new Club Sirena compilation, and you can see why this young man's talent and reputation is spreading far beyond the continent of South America.
