Simon van Wely

Simon van Wely has been DJing on the London club and party scene since the mid 90s, after being inspired to buy his first pair of decks while studying at Leicester University.
Simon's main current influences include DJs and artists such as The Scumfrog, Deep Dish and Sander Kleinenberg. His DJ style is progressive with a funky edge, and he is well known for his technical mixing abilities. Simon's mixing style is effortless – a result of his laidback attitude behind the decks. His upfront selection of music and personal policy of 'Always a killer never a filler' guarantees a full dance floor of smiling, happy clubbers.
Simon is one of the resident DJs at London club night Loosen Up. He has also played at some of London's leading club nights, such as Whoop It Up at the Velvet Room, and Heat at The Gallery; and also often plays at The Annexo Bar for the Gallery pre-club nights at Turnmills.
