Stama (aka Dimos Stamatelos) has been
DJing, and promoting clubs and parties in
Greece, since 1995. He also runs Greek progressive house label, Erase Records (www.eraserecords.com), and produces under
the name Degrees Of Freedom.
In the last nine years Stama has risen to
become one of Greece's top underground DJs,
by playing at, and promoting some the best
club nights and parties in the Greek capital, Athens, and Greece's second city, Thessaloniki. Many of these nights have been co-promoted
with top UK and European record labels, and featured guest spots from established DJ/producers, such as the Flash Brothers,
Luis Paris and Echomen.
Stama has also started to establish himself as
an international DJ of note, with gigs in the
UK, Moroco, Ibiza and Thailand.
In 2003 Stama (along with friend and
fellow DJ/producer, Dum) founded Erase
Records, to produce quality progressive
house and breakbeat. With three releases to
date, including tracks from Ben Camp and Stama's own act, Degrees Of Freedom, Erase looks set to do big things on the progressive scene. They have already gaining UK
distribution through Alex Lee and Amato, and have gained support from big name DJs
including Rennie Pilgrem, Anthony Pappa,
Plump DJs and Luis Paris.
