Tim Sessions

Tim Sessions aka HedStatic started his house music production career when he built his own studio, and started to work with DJ Matt Stapley. Together they started writing under the act name Logica and released their first track 'Redshift' in 1999 which appeared on the Fantasia 'Aural Pleasure' album and received widespread respect and support from DJ's around the world.
Around that time Tim teamed up with his good friend Alex Branson, who was working for Sony's dance label, INCredible. Together they launched their own label, In Music, in 2000, with the express desire to release quality Progressive dance music.
Tim then started working on solo projects under the pseudonym of HedStatic. His first track, 'Scanners' featured a mix by Hellpass and was a hard progressive affair that was championed by the likes of Christopher Lawrence and Mike Cosford and set him on course for global recognition. His follow up track, '48k' which was a two disc release featuring mixes from Gordon Kaye, Katakana and the Matt Stapley Total Control mix, reaffirmed belief in HedStatic's unique style of tough groove-led progressive house.
Tim’s next projects for In Music were a number of remixes for Grayson Shipley, Distance and Dacora released on In Music’s spin-off label, In promo. They received rave reviews from the likes of Gordon Kaye, Nick Hook, James Blond and Satoshi Tomiie and placings in the Massive and Balance charts.
Another HedStatic mix, this time of Hook & Skynet’s 'U Treat Me Right' was released in 2004, with support from the usual suspects who loved the HedStatic mix’s 'filthy grooves'. Tim’s mix saw radio play on Ministry of Sound Radio and reviews in M8 and Update magazines and in Spain’s Deejay magazine.
April 2004 will see the release of the first part of Tim’s 'Blurring the Boundaries' EP featuring 'Satellites' and 'Midday Exposure'. Midday Exposure has already received huge support from Satoshi Tomiie who got an advance copy in Ibiza in 2003 and started the majority of his sets with it, as well as Hector Romero, who, after hearing Satoshi playing it was begging him for a copy. Satellites has proven a firm favourite with reviewers for magazines including M8 and Update.
Future projects include collaborations with the likes of Nick Hook of First Life, Lee Morrison of Wallop Recordings, and Jamie Chant, an upcoming funky house DJ/producer. HedStatic has begun a real exploration into the different genres of dance music both in this collaborative work and on his own, the results of which will prove how versatile a producer Tim is. An original chillout/funky album which Tim is writing will hopefully be released for the end of the year, demonstrating his commitment to producing music that people want to dance to no matter what genre it is.
